ATTENTION -- UNIVERSITY STUDENTS FACULTY AND STAFF !!! Yesterday, the campus of the University of Iowa became yet another focal point of national attention. Iowa students and faculty like thousands of others all over the globe have committed themselves to civil disobedience on a mass scale on order to show the peoples of the world that the immoral, unjust, and illegal war now being fought against the people of Vietnam will no longer be tolerated.. Today these same students and faculty along with many others are picketing the Union in a continued protest against the presence of U.S. Marine Recruiters on the Iowa Campus. We believe that an academic community should not associate with or allow on campus an organization which has as its purpose to destroy. A state institution should not bow down to the Federal government for any reason. Today your fellow students, faculty, and staff are defending your rights to eliminate complicity of this institution with the military and the Federal government. Their activities will consist of picketing in order to give an opportunity to everyone to consider our position under more calm and orderly conditions. Join our picket line today and protest !!!!!!
