Court Dissolves Injunction

District Court Judge Harold D. Vietor this morning dissolved an injunction aimed at political militants. 
City Atty. Jay H. Honohan decided to go ahead with his recommendation to drop the order after checking out reports of a demonstration planned today at the University of Iowa. 
The protest - set for this noon at the Memorial Union - was decided by Students for a Democratic Society against a Defense Intelligence Agency recruiter. Honohan Tuesday disclosed the possibility that he might request a continuance if reports indicated extensive trouble. 
Honohan remained uncertain of what he would recommend to Vietor as late as 9 a.m., some 30 minutes before the hearing. Apparently the city attorney felt the protest could be handled without the decree.

Placement Office Sit-In In Protest Against Recruiter
   More than 100 University of Iowa Students jammed the hallway outside the university placement office this noon in protest of the appearance of a Defense Intelligence Agency recruiter on campus. 
   The students found the office locked over the noon hour, but sat in the hall to await a confrontation with the DIA recruiter.
   Sponsored by Students for a Democratic Society and a number of other groups, the protest began at noon when some 500 students gathered in the Gold Feather Room of the Memorial Union to discuss strategy. A small contingent of costumed students carried a coffin draped with an American flag through the crowd and finally to the placement office. 
   Demonstrators found their ranks growing amidst shouts of "Smash the DIA" and " One, two, three , four, Vietnam's the boss's war."
   "You have to look at what this guy is really doing," one speaker told the crowd. "They are coming here to try to recruit people to make the plans to bomb and kill people.
   " We have to deny him that right," Norton Wheeler, UI student from Sioux City, told the crowd. 
   "Not only are we against the war but we're going to deny the war but we're going to deny the war makers the right to fight that war," he said. 
   Scattered applause and cheers greeted Wheeler's call for a "sit- in up at the placement office."
