HOOD RIVER, OREGON:- Pocket Books, Inc. is now out with several fullengthunabridged fantastics at 25¢ per- Topper, Lost Horizons, Bambi, Green Mansions, etc. Convenient size, durable covers, front cover painting, readable type. Very nice. --DK DENVER, COLORADO:- Under seperate cover am sending you the first issue of new s-f fan publication titled, "The Alchemist". We, Charles Hansen, Roy Hunt and myself hope to make it a permanent fan mag on the monthly basis. *** It is small, hectographed, will good illustrations. Smith had been down for a week-end with his entire family. *** Miss Moore has authored twenty stories; thinks J.W.C., jr. ought to be twins, and is rather broken up over Wright's discharge from Weird Tales. *** Also, she is nice looking as you would expect from reading "Greater Than Gods". *** E.E. Smith blames the success of "Gray Lensman" on the fact that he wrote it from the viewpoint of building a character rather than mechanical stuff. -DT WILLIAMSPORT,PENN:- Noticed your item concerning back numbers in the last issue of LeZ. I have all the numbers from 10 to 21 complete, which I am willing to sell for cash. -Geo. P. Calvert, 335½ Woodland Av., Williamsport, Pa. (( LeZ suggests that those wanting copies write Geo. as we do not have a complete file of back numbers on hand. Following are the issues we have for disposal: Numbers 2, 3, 4, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 22. That's all we have, and inasmuch as there are only one or two copies of some numbers, they go to the first buyer, all at the sum of 5¢ each plus a stamp. I Choke!" by Ted Carnell, an interview with "The Earl of Hell" by Ackerman, "I Object!" - Morojo's reaction to Westerfield's "The Sky's No Limit" (Writer's Digest Jan.), "Trademarks" by Walter Fleming, "Local Leag Life" (probly by Yorko), an article by Bradbury, column by Pogo, cover by Hodgkins, humor by Daugherty, short-short story by top author, & -actually- other material!
