OAKLAND, CAL:- Perhaps you wud be interested in the fact that I am going to issue another sheet. It is to be called Mercury, 'the hell to breakfast fan sheet'. It will contain... a manuscript bureau!....Sullivan's column....auto-biographies and unbiased fan-mag reviews.... excerpts from letters.... as well as other worthless news. - Joe Fortier. It's title will be Negative Narratives. I made a bad faux pas when I said it would be priced at 10¢. for I simply can't make ends meet at that. Mark Reinsberg advises to watch for Colossal Comics, which runs some of his brainchildren........ Luna, the Australian fanmag, bylines: "Chicago in 1940 -- Sydney....when???? .............. Sully Roberds is readying a 2nd issue of his occasional fanmag, S-F Abbatoir and requests material. This ish to be a "insult" number & dedicated to Cyril Kornbluth. Address is 922 W. Division St., Normal, Ill. ................... There is no truth to the rumor that people read Le Zombie...... FLASH: Are we gonna have another? Three issues - 10¢ Six ditto - 20¢ Eight ditto - 25¢ February 24, 1940 * Vol. 2, No. 12 Whole number 24. PLEASE NOTE this correction: The Jan. 27 issue, number 22, was stated to be Vo.2, # 9. That is wrong, it should have been Vol.2 # 10. Similarly, the last issue was not # 10, but # 11. Next issue begins our third volume ! [Dashed line] Le Zombie is now taking bids for proposed dates for the 1940 Chi Convention. August seems to be the favored month. What's yours?
