FLASH NOTICE Le Zombie Suspends Publication For Ninety Days! PROLOG: There probably comes an evil day in almost every fan-editor's life when he finds it necessary to announce just such harsh words. That day has arrived in ours. It is hoped that our readers, subscribers and admirers lament and our enemies and critics rejoice; we even wish our critics a hearty guffaw over our plight. Fan magazines suspend publication for numerous reasons; you are probably familiar with most of them. There are even those who announce "suspension" while really quitting . . . getting out from under . . . leaving the subscriber holding the bag business. . . they trick you into believing they will be back again, when they know they won't. We hope you won't believe such of us. THE STORY: A "luxury" such as a fanmag depends a lot upon an individual's economic and employment status, and when either or both of those suddenly fluctuate, the "luxury" is quite apt to feel the change first. Without wishing to get personal about it, we believe we must explain that we are due, about March 1st, for a bit of . . . ah . . er, fluctuation. Therefore LeZ is forced to suspend publication for a period of ninety days, at the end of such time (approx. May 1) we expect to resume where we left off. We feel especially sorry about this to those NEW subscribers who are seeing LeZ for the first time with this January issue. And to reassure them, and any others,
