The Sky Woman A meteorite drops from the void, landing in and completely demolishing a forest. The remains is serched, disclosing a fairly large piece of rock. It is concluded that it is not merely a combination of stone and iron as are most meteors, but of man-made construction. The discoverers seek to discover its contents, if any, and are amazed to find a crystal casket, packed in an asbestos-like substance. They suceed in opening the case, finding a girl, beautiful beyond words, who is seemingly dead. However, through curiosity, they determine to survive her. She lives, but for a short time only, the atmosphere of earth being different from that of her own world. She is thought to have come from Mars, because of that planet's nearest approach in many years. (There should be a sequel to the story but unfortunately there is not) ( This story appeared in Argosy-All-Story for September 25,1920.) It was written by Charles B. Stilson. Author of "Polaris of the Snows" and "A Man Named Jones"
