On a table in the center of the room was a sheet covered figure. "When I inject this stimulant," said Morden importantly, Brandishing a hypodermic, "the subject will come to life." The audience was appreciatively silent. He drew an arm from beneath the sheet and plunged the hypo into it, then stepped back and watched intently... "He moves!" said the dean, moving to the rear of the room. The Experiment, still covered by the sheet, had sat up. "He walks!" cried Poggle, joyfully tossing his black jacket into the air. The Experiment had taken a few steps, still covered by the sheet. "He talks"! shrieked Mrs. Heather, our head laundress, before she fainted.
