wed Jan 16 a nice day snowed a little last night my back is better Wallace Lena Russell & I went over to see Lina to day Th Jan 17 a gloomy day but warm is misting this eve I did a little washing & moped Wallace & Lena went to West Union to day had dinner with Lizzie and Frank Grace [last name? Shlisman?] was here & played with Russell Fri Jan 18 another gloomy day I went to Elgin this afternoon with Wallace got my glasses I like them very well can see fine through them today is my birth day
