Mon July 1 a fine day we did a large washing gathered & caned 6½ qts strawberries besides having them 3 times a day Tues July 2 a hot day we did a large ironing Lena is making Russell a linen suit wed July 3 a hot day had a thunder shower this eve Mrs A W Kimball came here this fornoon to get a shirt waist made Lena helped her she cut & fit it we cooked 2 chickens pressed them & picked the strawberries caned 5 qts I am so very tired the air is cool since the rain Chauncy went home to day
