Editorial The first issue of PAN DEMOS is now in subscribers' hands. We hope it pleased those who have read it. Many mistakes, both technical and omissive were made in number one. We promise to remedy this in the future. We will have no more gross mistakes such as the patchy continuation of the review of Miss Hole's book. There will be less empty space at the bottom of each page where a story or article concludes. Small motifs and vignettes are now being prepared for any such spaces that will occur in this issue and in the future. There will be more material per issue from now on, since the first issue was almost entirely done by two individuals in a short space of time. The cover design plate which we have intended to use on the first number, and to be used in subsequent numbers, was held up at the printers, and wasn't available for use in the first issue. As it is it will barely be ready for this 4
