FANTASY CORNER where the editor and readers meet and talk THINGS have picked up a bit with this issue. New subscriptions have come in, plus a number of letters giving us the OK. FANTASY-TIMES will continue to give you the best it can in information and interesting items. We wish to stress again that we are not in the business of giving you super scoops. There are two weeklies [nut?], to whom we leave that job. We're here to try and bring you every month, news of the past month plus informative articles and items in the interest of the pro magazine. We print news as we see it. If any one wants to comment on it, they'll find the pages of FANTASY-TIMES open for their letters or articles. We know there are always two sides to every case, so we are willing to publish the two sides. DUE to extra work, we have been forced to give up COSMIC TALES as a subscription magazine. It will, however, appear quarterly, 5 t o10 pages mimeograph and will be mailed free to all FANTASY-TIMES subscribers. NEW FANDOM members will receive FANTASY-TIMES every month, instead of COSMIC TALES plus 4 issues of NEW FANDOM a year. Membership yearly fee is still 60¢. All COSMIC TALES subscribers will have their subs filled out with FANTASY-TIMES. Now our readers: We hear first from: TOM WRIGHT who writes: "Your two magazines,COSMIC TALES and FANTASY-TIMES, are very neat and enjoyable, and I'm glad to see you becoming active again. I hope you will continue to send me COSMIC, as I don't know when my membership to NEW FANDOM will--or has--expired. (You had 6 more issues coming, plus the money you mailed with this letter, you are a member of NEW FANDOM for one more year) All the news in FANTASY-TIMES was new to me, and proved very interesting. Mary [Gnaedinger?] was very interesting. I especially enjoyed SAm's article, and I don't think he can realize how true he was about lack of enthusiasm. Starlight, for instance, altho about 125 copies were sent out, we received only about 15 or 20 letters of comments in all.(We know how 'tis,Tommy, we have the same trouble with FANTASY-TIMES, and take a look at SPACEWAYS, Harry is alSO kicking in his latest issue about lack of enthusiasm) You underestimated the Denvention a little, as I understand it.
