61. You, The Reader ********************************************************** and amusing -- almost the best I've read by the author. "Scroll of Valoki" was pretty good for a weird story. Johnnie Chapman's story wasn't bad at all, but he could have handled it a little better in parts." Glad you liked the illustrations for your story. So far it is second in choice among the readers. Looking forward to that other story from you. I take it you don't care much for weird stories. (Editor.) * * * Arden Benson:- "Ollie and I got SCIENCE ADVENTURE STORIES -- rather, Ollie got it and I read it first -- out at the lake. Sure is a swell little mag, much more worth the price than TFS or Amazing. So you've got another steady customer for it. You're spreading the blarney a bit hick, Mr. Benson. But I am glad to have another steady customer. The more the better, because when the limit is reached an expansion is intended -- an increase of pages between 80 and 90. Also a bimonthly publication starting with the next issue, or with the fourth. (Editor) Lloyd A. Eshbach:- ". . . your mag. It's appearance, for a hektographed publication, is excellent. Frankly, it's the one method of reproduction which I do not like -- but you bow to necessity. I haven't read any of the material thus far, so I can't comment on their quality; but the illustrations, on the whole, are good. More power to you. And thanks."
