September 11th Dearest Earl - Nancy & I are anxiously waiting for 6:30 P.M. because KGLO is broadcasting the transcription of your short-wave broadcast over the BBC. As I understand it, some Eastern station transcribed it, but they listened to it here and also transcribed it. Don said they told him it came in fine. I wish they had told me to come up there, but then we'll get to hear it this evening. Your nice letter came Sat. the 9th the one written Aug 28th. I've sent the letter & your address to Reeves & Marge so you may hear from all of us. I'm so happy for you that you were able to go to France. Of course, as I told Ralph L. Jones that I'd bet anything you'd find a way to get there so I wasn't surprised. You are certainly having some wonderful experiences and every one I see tells me how very much they enjoy your letters in the G.G. Don calls me and I either go up to the office & read them or they send me the proof sheets. He asked me once, before your personal letter came, if you hadn't written to me and I said "Sure - to me and all of North Iowa". Nancy & I are getting along just fine - but that doesn't mean we won't be thrilled to have you home with us. Tonight we are to go to the bus depot with the Pauley's to meet Beulah - then we'll all have dinner there. Tomorrow night Mary Bosworth has asked me to have dinner with
