2 along OK but I know they are getting pretty tired of being alone. Bob seems to be fine and of course will be home for the holidays. Don't expect I will get out of this assignment until next summer. I wont mind it too much if I can get out when I do get home, but I don't want to come back for a time and then get reassigned. Some how or another the Navy saw fit to present me with the Bronze Star Medal for my work here. Was of course glad to get it, but like many others, I still feel that the medals should go to the boys carrying the guns and slogging their way thru the mud. After seeing the mud in France, I am more convinced than ever, that this should be the case. I brought some Champagne back from France and intend to bring it home and have a grand celebration when I get out - Weather here in England is miserable. Is not uncommon during the
