Dear Mrs Hall, This is going to be short & sweet like the candy. I wish all my relations were as good as the International Relations cemented by your candy. Sincerely, James Richard Anderson Major. R. E. (Royal Engineers British Army) Dear Mr. Hall: I too have been priviliged to share your generous gift. Allow me to express my appreciation and to extend to you the thanks of my fellow workers of the Bureau who heartily agree with your choice of sweets. You must feel proud to have been able to lighten the Navy's burdens even in so small a measure. Lt. (jg) George H. (Gaunt, USNR Bureau of Ordnance Dear Mrs. Hall: It seems that you and your husband are very popular around Washington these days, (I might add that the girls in the office of the Group Hospitalization thank you also.) We sould introduce you to the hospitals and perhaps we would not have so many cases, that are grumpy. Mrs. G. H. Gaunt
