------------------- Professor Jauch has returned from meetings in Washington, DC on matters pertaining to the establishment of the program of the Midwestern Universities Research Association (MURA) Therefore (20BeV machine) (a) MURA board of directors met on Tuesday 2 August & and organized their case: (i) Presidents of MURA institutions got together to work out acceptable administrative arrangements with Argonne and University of Chicago. (ii) Immediate survival provision ~$375,000 for fiscal year 1956. (b) MURA directors met with presidents of MURA institutions on Tuesday evening to brief them on technical and administrative desires.
