I despair of his ever getting a Ph.D. dissertation with me. He was unable to get his apparatus (sun - earth orientation drive) ready for the present expedition and probably wouldn't be ready a year from now ! or at any other time. I did agree to give him a teaching assistantship this year if he wanted to try his hand at some other field of research for a last try, before giving up the whole endeavor.
