Long streaks and irregular patches leading up toward the zenith. Also rapidly changing patterns, resembling more-or-less horizontal searchlight beams sweeping across the sky. Also wave-like undulations. During the period 1:30-2:30, beautiful pink colored stripe of light in western sky ! [sketch/picture including SW, W, NE] Color changed slowly (over some minutes from pale pearl color to rather bright pink -- slowly waxed and waned. The display in the western sky extended down to the horizon and upwards to 30 degrees above
