12/13/1957 [? on?] call from W. H. Pickering yesterday: The Nigeria & Singapore stations are now "settled". They will be microlock telemetering-receiving stations only. A J.P.L. man will go to each for instructional purposes and initial set-up. The stations will be manned by local personnel (via arrangements with Professor H. [J.?] W. Massey. Equipment will be flown in by M.A.[T.?]S. and set up by about 1 June 1958. Will make available long-range telemetering reception for 1st Jupiter C flight.
