Some new ideas for future work Ludwig suggests a better way to make a satellite tape recorder (a) Wind up clock spring by small motor (b) Use an escapement to control the recording period tape transport The combination of (a) and (b) would add up to an electrically- wound mechanical clock. In order to get necessary precision on running rate in (b) several possibilities: (a) use balance wheel on escapement. (b) Use tuning fork electrical - magnetic control of escapement (c) Use combination with tuning fork synchronization.
