2) Difficulty with triggering the command receiver on the pad on the 5th of March is thought to be due to r.f. brush noise from motors driving the "bucket" with consequent saturation of the command receiver. Antigua attempted to interrogate but reported negative results. However, there should have been only ~ 10 minutes of stored data by then and the total duration of playback would have presumably been verty easy to miss (~0.5 second playback duration).
