Page SSScience Fiction Collector-- There will also be other photographs, a group picture of the PSFS will undoubtedly be included. As this edition will be limited, and as there are undoubtedly non-subscribers interested in purchasing this issue, it is advised that all who are not on the PSFS News subscription list send 10 [[cents sign]] to JVBaltadonis which will reserve your copy. Weird Tales has accepted a short story by George R. Hahn. It is called "The Fifth Candle" and will appear under Hahn's pseudonym, Cyril Hand.......Raymond A. Palmer is attempting to secure a model space ship for a future photographic cover of Amazing Stories.......Seventeen Australian science fiction fans have banded together to form an organization in Adelaide, South Australia. This organisation is intensely interested in receiving American fan magazines, and it would be a good idea for all fan mag publishers to send a sample copy of your magazine to John Devern, 63 West Terrace, Adelaide, South Australia. A mimeographed publication will be issued, and it is very probably that future issues will appear in printed format.......Here is some advance information on the new fan publication, Spaceways. It will be co-edited by Harry Warner, Jr. and James S. Avery. The method of duplication will be the bektograph, for the present, anyway. Spaceways will be a bi-monthly magasine, the first issue to appear on or before November 1st. Among the many interesting features schedlued for publication are; a two-part serial by Amelia Reynolds Long; autobiographies of Miss Long and Dr. E. E. Smith: articles by Bob Tucker, Forrest J. Ackerman, etc. Should be an interesting magazine....... Jack Speer and Richard Wilson, Jr. visited the PSFS members at the same time in August. A good time was had by all. A special meeting of the PSFS was called in honor of our guests. Later in the year, Will Sykora and Sam Moskowitz intend to visit the PSFS. Jack Gillespie also dropped into town in August. Nothing surprises us anymore, so if Ackerman desires to come to Philly, don't think we will be too surprised!
