[emblem Y YMCA] YMCA Fort Madison Young Men's Christian Association 331 Avenue D Fort Madison, Iowa 52627 Phone 372-2403 December 10, 1971 Miss Virginia Harper 720-7th Street Fort Madison, Iowa 52627 Dear Miss Harper: Please forgive me for my slow response to your letter of last July 19th regarding the alleged activity of the Jackson, Mississippi Y. I received the handwritten letter which I am enclosing from the Executive Director of that Y in which he explains the situation as he sees it. The reason I haven't returned the enclosure to you earlier is that he (Mr. Robertson) stated that the National Y would be getting out an article on the matter. I'm still waiting. When this story does appear you will have a copy. Thank you for your patience. Sincerely [actual signature] Clark Koechel Executive Director CK/djt
