"You wish me to try the most dangerous men in the world, and destroy the ones who compose the worst potential threat to the human race?" hummed Deooeg, smoothing his fuzzy antennae. "All right, sir, I'll do it!" "Ah!" Richard Stern clenched his fists, and his eyes gleamed like fire. "Who will be the first evil man to stand trial?" "The first and most dangerous man in the world has already been tried and found guilty." said Deooeg, as he drew out a small deadly weapon from his hood. A pinpoint of flame lashed out. Richard Stern vaporized. - END - ((WE THINK YOU'LL AGREE that fandom has a promising new author in Radell Nelson...and we also think you'll be anxious to read another adventure of Deooeg in the next issue of The Mutant. Coming up then: Adviser !)) UNTIL NOW Until now, I have not believed in things that are not and can not be, Although, they might have been; For, in the mind's dim recesses, fantastic creatures spawn And ungodly spirits are seen. Oh, God, what are these hellish things that come unbidden To rob me of reason and rhyme? Lecherous and lewd, they stare with eyes of fire That witnessed the birth of time; Their ghostly fantasmagoria blends with the shadows, Such things...can not be so. But listen...those weird chants are words of evil Spoken many eons ago... This grotesque bacchanalia, this dread catechism has the power To raise the damned. And, scoff tho' you may, they are real, these corrupt demons From Stan's evil land, These machinations of the devil are real enough To cast a shadow on the mind, For, if you look and see beyond the veil of fear They are the sins of all mankind. -- E.
