Friendly, good humor, not too conspicuous." Each dentist, like physicians, was given the opportunity to make further general comments at the end of the questionnaire. One dentist in general practice stated that he had served Negroes in the past, but had no requests recently. The comment at the end of the questionnaire is self-explanatory: In the past ten years there have probably been two or three in the office who have requested to speak to me at a time when I could not leave the chair, and they did not return. for the past several years having been taking on very few new patients.
