writing scripts, letters, [illegible] of statements, news items. I typed 160 envelopes to mail our mailing to newspapers around the state. When we get home I'm to address all the legislators for their mailing. Legislature opens on the 8th. But I'll be home by then, having plane reservations for the 5th. But on Friday Clarice has invited 25 guests ^ (my friends) to tea to meet May Tangen. They're all black except one white. ^ (who is a [must?] not a friend) Sometimes I'll explain why I have no white friends except Clarice. Even this gathering is to the purpose, Clarice will tell them what we've been doing and they'll all sign a petition to send to legislators to get them convinced we do want them to repeal the sales tax on food! May 1-2-80 10 pm Yes, we play Scrabble-I won my 8th consecutive game + never had such good luck before!
