Gilbert St. 1st and 3rd Wed. of each month 8-5 338-9686 Regular checkups and innoculations provided for children 0-16 years. Twenty-five cents a visit. Signature needed from regular doctor in order to use services. DENTAL CLINIC Dental Bldg. No. Capitol St. Iowa City 353-5376 (adults) 353-5023 (children) 353-5630 (oral surgery) 9-5 weekdays Dental treatment performed by students (with staff supervision) at clinical fee costs. Long waiting list. SYMPTOMS OF VD Syphilis: Stage 1- Single, painless chancre (shanker) 2-6 weeks after exposure. This disappears. Stage 2- Skin rash, sore throat, baldness, headaches. Stage 3: Crippling of nervous system, heart disease, death. Gonorrhea: Stage 1: Discharge, inflammation of urinary tract if male; in female, slight vaginal discharge, but may go undetected. Stage 2: Spread to reproductive tract; may cause sterilization. ABORTION INFORMATION ABORTION REFERRAL SERVICE Women's Center 3 East Market St. 353-6265, 6266, 6267 They counsel, have complete information concerning abortion clinics, and will help make arrangements including transportation, costs, etc. The Women's Center people will also make arrangements for pre and post abortion periods.
