HOW TO TRAVEL CHEAPLY BY CAR WITHOUT OWNING ONE Some agencies specialize in getting automobiles (mostly new cars) from one part of the country to another. Look in the transportation and personal sections of large city newspapers (around Iowa City that would be Cedar Rapids and Des Moines). You can get a car to drive, plus a fill-up of gas (and sometimes a gas allowance). You have to pay the rest of the gas and your own food expenses yourself. OR:Check the ride board in the Union. Especially around holiday time, students who are going home or on vacation need help driving and sharing expenses. PAGE 41
