SUS PRO . . A Credo, my friend, is not an argument; it is merely a statement of the beliefs of the person who propounds that credo. In THE TIME-BINDER I do not, nor ever had, tried to proselyte anyone to my own beliefs. I state my beliefs on many and various subjects merely to try to start other people thinking about serious subjects. Whether they agree with my own conclusions is immaterial. That is why the editorial policy has been, is, and will continue to be, to print ANY side of ANY subject, as long as it is clearly, concisely and logically written without bombast or sarcasm. But I'll be darned if I'm going to argue about everything that may be said either of myself of the writers-in. You speak disparagingly of my habit of capitalizing certain words. Where is your semantic sense? Suppose one were writing a story in which a piece of jewelry in the shape of a fish, and made out of gold, was a motivating force. Would you speak of it as a "goldfish", or as the "Gold Fish". (And don't bother telling me it should be "Golden"; I know that much grammar. However, of Poe's "The Gold Bug".) There is all the difference in the world between an "Infinite Will", as I use this phrase, and an "infinite will" with the connotations which you try to ascribe to the two words. 

FULL LENGTH ARTICLES. . As a matter of statistical record, it is to be noted that Dunk apologizes five times, and asks that the feud be stopped two times -- Speer does neither. One wonders just what FUN anyone can possibly get to pay for all the time, effort and expense that goes into a thing like this. 

BROWSING NO. 10 . . This is exceptionally interesting, although the Weird facet of Fantasy is not my specialty. Incidentally, I note your forthcoming marriage, and wish you and yours all joy. 

BROWSING, New series No. 2 . . It was a pleasure, Mike to have had a small hand in publishing such a grand mag. 

LIGHT . . Mary Byers' story was really fine, I though. . . .So was the poetry by Bovard and Nanek. . . Jessie Walker's article interesting . . Les proves once more that the gal's really can put out good stuff when they get at it. Wish they would do it a lot oftener -- we need their slants in and on Fandom. 

HORIZONS . . Art Widner's BALANCE is very thought-provoking. I can see points on both sides of the question. Although I expect to continue publishing, I am trying to use as much material by others as I can, consistent with my mags' policies . . I've always liked Merritt because of the lyric quality of his prose so Harry's ability to put it into actual verse form is no surprise although I had never before considered doing it that way...Balance of mag exceptionally interesting, as usual.
