Some time in March there will appear a 36 page magazine. It will be new and revolutionary; no one has ever attempted anything of this sort before. It will be, speaking from a practical side, a yearbook of the fantasy world for the year 1940. * It will be entitled THE FANTASY ANNUAL, and present in a clear and valuable way, all data for the year 1940, it will not conflict in any way with the Tucker bibliography. It will contain, among other things, the fifty best stories of the year as decided by five judges; a complete list of the fanmags that appeared in the year 1940; a listing of all the fan articles on pro authors; the leading magazines as judged by a number of distinctive stories; a copy of the NFFF constitution; Widner's poll results; reprinting of some of the outstanding fiction and non-fiction in the fanmags; a list of the promags appearing during the year 1940 and the number of issues put out; a panorama of fantasy during the year 1940 * The cost of the FANTASY ANNUAL, which will definitely appear in March and possibly earlier, will be 15¢ per copy. Complimentary ads will be only ten cents apiece. May I have your support? I'm taking on quite a bit of cost, and every little bit helps. Don't put it off--please do it now.
