Tues Apri 18 A gloomy day a little sun shine at times Lena washed some Nellie Foxwell called her & Stephen was braking a colt & called froze the ground & ice ½ inch thick last night Wed Apri 19 this has been a fearful windy day was cold too the men seeded this afternoon Jim Probert & 2 other men was here Mrs & Sam Flanagan was here this eve she came to get some eggs to set we got a nice lot of eggs th Apri 20 A nice day froze ice last night I broke it in the chicken dishes the men plowed Lena has 10 hens setting
