wed June 21 A nice day Lena washed we butchered a hog this eve Lena & the children called at Fred Rothlisbergers got some sage learned how to put the ribs & back haves down so as to keep th June 22 A nice day we canned 14 qts poark made sausage Russell ground it for us fryed a sholder part of another mad some head cheese fryed out lard I am so tired I hung out a big washing Lena did yesterday the men put (funan?) green on the potatoes the bugs are so bad (illegible) we baked the ribs & back bone & caned them
