Fri June 23 A very windy day we fried our sausage down today the men put 2 load of nice hay in the barn they cut it 2 or 3 days ago took it so long to cure sat June 24 we had a little shower this morning they put in hay in the afternoon we ironed did a lot of other work sun June 25 A fine day Russell visited Lester Gehring this afternoon we had our first mess of peas for dinner to day Mon June 26 A nice day pretty dry need rain Lena washed the men are making hay & plowing corn
