over to Brainerd then after noon came home by Elgin called to see sarah Helms she was gone Mon Oct 29 A chilly wind today is snowing this eve Will Jones & Ed Vashal was here for dinner they fixed our pump we butchered a hog this afternoon I haven't felt very good all day Tues Oct 30 A cold day the ground was all covered with snow this morning Lena has been working with the meat all day made head cheese sausage fryed out lard I got dinner haven't felt well all day Mary isent well has a cold don't feel a bit good
