we had our first thunder & lightning this eve & it rained hard Tues Mar 13 A cold windy day Wallace went to Elgin after corn was gone all day Lena & I cut out quilt blocks all day Ella walked to school this morning dident come home this eve she stayed with her Aunt Lina was cold & the roads so bad wed Mar 14 A pretty good day roads very bad we worked at one quilt I am tired Ella came home this eve Mary Ann Foxwell called to aply for the school Anna Kerr called wanted it for (Lana?) th Mar 15 A cold rain wind Aulden went to Elgin after corn it thawed
