Tues Aug 7 this has been a very warm day we ironed Sam Flanagan helped us hay today finished cutting oats a week ago yesterday wed Aug 8 A fearful hot day Sam Flanagan helped us hay today Aulden & Ella has gone to Will Pallacks to league this eve & a surprise on Elaxander saul heard he is home for a 10 day stay I got a letter from Russell today th Aug 9 just a fearful hot day dad & Aulden finished putting in hay only some (slews?) after threshing they threshed a load of oats & one of barley the folks has all gone to farm bureau meeting at the church
