children came with them Mr Snyder was here to supper (illegible) took P Mary & her lamb picture George came to help his Dad with the potatoes I sent a letter to Russell today th Aug 1 A nice dool day is very cool this eve Wallace finished cutting barley today him & Aulden has gone to Elkader this eve for repares for the tracter Is & Jack Shaffer called at noon Fri Aug 2 we had a heavy rain it commenced at 2 last night rained hard all fornoon is very cool this eve the rain were fine Is Shaffer brot a cow over the men are overhaling the tractor Al Knudson called Lena is making herself a dress
