Mon Oct 7 A nice day Lena washed Wallace went to Fayette all did odd jobs was busy all day am tired tonight Tues Oct 8 A good day is raining some this eve we ironed I got some apples ready for butter Mr & Mrs J D Shaffer called this fornoon Aulden halled 2 load of sheep to Elgin for I F Shaffer dad was at West Union & Oelwein wed Oct 9 a cold windy day rained some this eve we caned 9 qts tomatoes some soup mad some jell I am tired th Oct 10 A cold damp day rained some last night & this morning
