gone down to Highland to Hilda Klingmans school soshal he went over to go with Lester Gehring sat May 7 A fine day sun May 8 A nice day was mothers day Wallace Ella & the boys went over to Elgin to Lester Wilsons funeral was a large funeral Mon May 9 we had quite a heavy rain about 6 PM Wallace & Lena went to Elgin this afternoon got in before the hard rain saw (illegible) Conner she had come in on the train from Forest City she told them of Rub smiths death was buried yesterday died last friday
