Tues Aug 30 A very warm fornoon commenced to rain about 2 PM it rained hard & still raining Russell & Aulden each halled a load of hogs to Wadena for W Flanigan this fornoon was to go at 3 PM to hall 2 more loads it rained so hard they couldent Wallace & Carl was threshing at I s shaffers we ironed some caned 12 qts beenes the children & I was going to Lina this afternoon to a community picnic am so glad we dident go for it rained so hard would of had a time getting home we
