AELITA - Made in 1919 by Mejrabpom-Russ (Russian). Fantastic film, plot is written around a rebellion of robots on planet Mars. DESK TO DAWN - First National film of 1923. Directed by King Vildor. A story of a girl, who is the twin incarnation of another, Aziza, an Indian girl, and frequently she finds herself changing places with the Indian girls. THE CRAZY RAY - (PARIS QUI DORT) 1922 - by Rene Clair, with Henri Rollan, Albert Prejan and others. A scientist has invented a sleep-inducing machine, which he tests by blanketing Paris with it's rays. Everyone in the world immediately goes to sleep, since the machine has unheard of power. Except for the people at the top of the Eiffel Tower and some in an airplane, the world sleeps. The rest of the film deals with the adventures of the unsleepy people in a city of living dead, telling finally how they meet the scientist's daughter, with whem they ally themselves to make him reverse the machine. L'ATLANTIDE - Film d'Art - Jacques Feyder, directed in 1922. A version of a classic legend, about adventures in the desert and the mystery of a lost kingdom. LE CHIEN ANDALOU - France - 1929 Private production, from a semiraio of Salvador Daly. A Surrealist film. DESTINY - Decla-Bioskop production 1921. Directed by Fritz Lang, from a scenario of Then von Harbou. Death, The Stranger played by B. Goetzke; The girl by Lil Dagover; The Boy by Walther Janssen. Fantasy film full of trick fotography and settings, Supernatural theme about a girl who seeks out Death to get her sweet-heart back, from him. Death shows three lighted candles, each candle representing a single life span. The girl is seen in Morocco, Venice & China, with her sweetheart. The latter is killed in each of his life span, and each time he dies, a candle goes out. At the end the girl dies also. JUST IMAGINE - Fox Film - 1930 - A musical fantasy film. Starring El Brendel; Marjorie White, etc. Opening scene is the year 1880, switching to a scene in 1930 which shows the changes made in 50 years, then what changes might take in another 50 years, and we see the super city of 1980. In a futuristic laboratory a man of 1930, who died in 19030, is revived and finds himself in this super city. New York in 1980, where food comes in capsules, and babies may be had by dropping a coin in a slot. el Brendel, the hero, finds that he cannot marry the girl he loves, unless he does something to distinguish himself. So he pilots the first rocket ship to Mars. Arriving there, he and several friends, who accompanied him, finds that the Martians all have twins. They come in pairs, but one is a good twin while tvh e other is a bad one. Several scenes takes place at this time, showing El being tossed from the good twins to the bad ones. Finally they escape and return to New York, and El claims his love (and gets her). They bring with them one of the Martians. Several songs are heard during the picture. Two scenes from this film can be found in the Feb.1931 issue of WONDER STORIES. THE CATACLYSM - Made by Andrew Lenard, in 1933 - Amateur Stfilm - A comet is about to strike the earth. An engineer, his fiancee and an astronomer, leave for the moon in a rocker ship, to escape this cataclysm. On the moon they watch the comet pass by the earth, and see that the earth is merely hit by a
