The residence halls also provide activities for the enjoyment of their members. Your talents will be put to good use by your unit or floor chairman who will ask for help on any number of different dorm projects, such as your house newspaper, singing groups, float building, and intramurals. There is a place for you no matter what your interests may be, and if you like responsibility, there may be a place for you in dorm government. With so much to do and see in this one building alone, it may take you time to get fully oriented. Remember, the counselor, house manager, dining manager, and unit adviser will answer your eager questions. And if you need medical attention, stop in and see the nurse during her scheduled hours. The residence halls are truly designed with you in mind. But no matter where you plan to live--off-campus, home, or sorority house-your social life and activities will be much the same as residence hall coeds. All undergraduate women are responsible for upholding the same University regulations as set forth in the Code of Student Life. Now to unpack and start "trenching in," getting set up to really dig into your first year at SUI and making the most of the many opportunities available to you.
