If you wish to learn or practice the basic skills of synchronized swimming, join the Penguins. if a canoe paddle feels natural in your hand you would enjoy the exciting Canoe Capers, also held Mother's Day Weekend on the Iowa River. Camping The Camping Club offers cookouts and overnight excursions for adventure lovers. Background in these experiences would be helpful in serving camp counselorships or recreational jobs. And it's fun ! Intramurals Competition in individual sports (tennis, golf, badminton, bowling, etc) team sports (basketball, volleyball, softball,etc) and swimming are offered in the intramurals program. Each housing unit organizes teams for intramural tournaments. Points are awarded to individual participants for attending the events and each team as a whole receives points for winning matches. Total scores are recorded and a traveling trophy is presented to the group with the largest amount of points. THE FINAL GUN This ends your practice period and what might be considered the first game of your college days. As are the openers on most schedules, this one has been easy.
