[hand drawing] Establishing Orbit Getting settled in your new home is next on the agenda. Among the various rooms open to undergraduate women are those in Burge and Currier Halls, approved private homes, and sorority houses (open only to upperclassmen) If your destination be Currier or Burge, the experience of group living awaits. Upon reaching the main entrance you ask someone behind the desk for directions to your room and hurridly dash onward to meet your roommates for the coming year. After the exciting round of introductions and initial chatter there's plenty of time to take in all those facilities available to dormitory residents. Each room is equipped with single beds, study desks and lamps, gay draperies and spreads. Dresser and closet space is also on hand, but it's a good idea to keep in mind that there will be more than just your wardrobe stored there. Although things already look quite homey, you may find that during the course of the year you'll want to add some additional touches. But this will require consultation with your roommates, so it need not be of concern now. Co-operation and sharing acquires even greater meaning and importance in conjunction with dorm living for it is only in this way that one may fully reap its rewards. Keep in mind those simple courtesies when using the phone in your room and the ironing boards and irons, washers, dryers, and other appliances which are subject to heavy use. For those moments of relaxation you may want to wander 7
