THE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA NEWS SERVICE 700 Jefferson Building, Iowa City, Iowa 52240 Phone 319/353-3150 (no need for option panic, says :Provost) IOWA CITY--Questions involving student options will be resolved through normal academic channels and there will be the usual opportunities for appeal of student-faculty differences, Provost Ray L. Heffner said Tuesday. While most situations are clearly covered by one or another of the three options, there will inevitably be differences of opinion on details to be resolved, he said. Such matters should be pursued with the appropriate professors, department heads and collegiate deans, Provost Heffner said. -30-
