1 November 1965 Dear Burt: As always, it was a pleasure to hear from you. I am enclosing a copy of my letter in response to Mr. Hougen's. Since the exchange of correspondence, we have had the draft-card burning. The students involved have broken the law and their fate is up to the federal courts. Lois and I have been so busy we have not had a chance to get to Forest City. You and Ethel are nevertheless often in our thoughts. We join in sending you affectionate greetings. Yours sincerely, Howard R. Bowen Mr. Burt J. Thompson State Bank Building Forest City, Iowa Enclosure
