III. Residences for Graduate Students, Married Students, and Students over Age 21. A. Off-campus housing for graduate students, married students, and students over age 21 is not subject to University approval procedures. B. To be eligible for housing not subject to University approval procedures, students must have reached the age of 21 prior to or at the time of registration for the session during which such housing will be occupied. C. Special permission for undergraduate students under 21 years of age to occupy housing not subject to University approval procedures may be granted by the Office of Student Affairs upon application in person for: 1. Students who have completed four years of college and who have earned 126 semester hours of credit. 2. Students who have certified medical necessity. D. No single student or group of single students may rent and/or occupy a private house and act as rentors for other students. IV. Off-Campus Housing Standards. All off-campus housing shall conform to University standards, city ordinances, and state housing laws. Any student may be required to move from premises which the University considers undesirable because of sanitary, moral, safety, or other reasons. V. Supervision A. Off-campus Housing. All householders renting to undergraduate students supervise the facilities rented and perform student personnel functions as required by the University. Copies. of University regulations are supplied to householders, who are responsible for supervision and enforcement. B. Fraternity Houses. Social and undergraduate fraternities occupying houses are required to employ approved housemothers who are held responsible for the supervision of houses. Honorary and professional fraternities occupying houses are required to employ approved supervisors responsible for enforcing social regulations. C. University Residences. In University residences, supervision is provided by personnel approved by the Office of Student Affairs. VI. Reporting Address or Change of Address. Each student is required to report his correct Iowa City or commuting address at the time of registration each semester or session. This reported address must be the student's actual place of residence, and will be the one to which all University correspondence will be sent. If any change in residence is made during the semester or session, the new residence address must be reported to the Office of the Registrar within three days. Failure to comply with the above regulations is cause for cancellation of registration. [7]
