VII. Regulations for Women's Residences. See Chapter IV for detailed rules for all women's residences. VIII. Regulations for Men's Residences A. Chaperons and Hours of Entertainment. No women guests may be in men's residences, except when authorized chaperons are present, and then only at times within the following schedule: Monday through Thursday—4:30 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. Friday—4:30 p.m. to 12:45 a.m. Saturday—12:00 noon to 12:45 a.m. Sunday and University Holidays—10:00 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. B. Places of Entertainment. Entertainment of women guests in men's residences shall be confined to the reception, dining, and recreation or lounge rooms of the residences. IX. Intoxicating Beverages. The possession or consumption of beer, wine, or other intoxicating beverages by any student on the campus or within a dormitory, chapter house, or in off-campus housing is cause for dismissal from the University. X. Gambling. Gambling by any student on campus or within any student residence is cause for disciplinary action. CHAPTER IV—REGULATIONS FOR UNIVERSITY WOMEN The following regulations apply to all undergraduate women and to all graduate and married students living in residence with undergraduate. These regulations are administered by the selected representatives on the Central Judiciary Board. Women students are held respoinsible for knowing these regulations. READ CAREFULLY. I. Closing Hours for Women's Residences A. Closing hours shall be defined as the LATEST hour for a student to return to her housing unit. It is expected that each student will plan her activities so that she returns to her housing unit BEFORE the closing hour. B. Regular closing hours begin Monday, September 3, 1962, and continue through Saturday, June 8, 1963. 11:00 p.m. . . . FRESHMEN—Sunday through Thursday, including examination and registration periods. 12:00 Midnight . . SOPHOMORES, JUNIORS, AND SENIORS—Sunday through Thursday, including examination and registration periods. 1:00 a.m. . . . Friday and Saturday [8]
