B. NO CONFLICT RULE. No student party or event may be scheduled in conflict with an All-University party or entertainment except by special approval of the Subcommittee on Social Policy and Calendar of the Committee on Student Life. To avoid such conflicts, students are advised to check the calendar of parties at the Information Desk at the Iowa Memorial Union of the Student Activities Calendar in the Office of Student Affairs. C. TICKET SALES. Tickets for All-University parties and entertainments shall be sold to students on the basis of first come first served at the Information Desk at the Iowa Memorial Union or at such other places as are approved by the advisers to the Committee. D. PRICES AND ADMISSION 1. The maximum price which may be charged for couple tickets at University parties shall be $5.00, and the maximum price for single tickets to entertainments shall be $2.50. Any deviation upward from this schedule of ticket prices is permitted only upon petition to and approval by the Subcommittee on Social Policy and Calendar. Lower prices may be charged at the discretion of the Committee with approval by the advisers. 2. All-University parties shall be "couple dances" but single tickets shall be sold for admission to popular entertainments. E. SPECIAL GUESTS. Party committees may invite special guests for whom complimentary tickets may be provided in the party budget. The number of such guests usually shall not exceed three couples. F. ARRANGEMENTS. The Director of the Union shall approve budgets for parties and entertainments subject to final approval by the University Business Office. G. BYLAWS. Bylaws with reference to meetings, requirement of attendance of members, quorum, and other similar matters may be established by the Committee with the approval of the Subcommittee on Social Policy and Calendar. IX. Bylaws 1. Regular meetings shall be scheduled by the Executive Committee. 2. Attendance is required. Two consecutive or a maximum of four absences without excuse constitutes ground for removal from the Committee. 3. Eight members shall constitute a quorum. 4. Subcommittees: The Committee shall initiate and coordinate such subcommittees as may be necessary for the proper promotion of its events. 5. Revisions.
