tary contributions for purposes consistent with the aims of the organization as stated in its constitution and to distrubute or sell literature, tickets, buttons, etc. on the campus, providing permission for the activity is obtained in advance from the Office of Student Affairs. Forms for this purpose are provided in that office and approval must be obtained at least one week before the event takes place. XIII. Activities for Purposes of Raising Funds. Student organizations must have the approval of the Office of Student Affairs before entering into money-making enterprises. A written report of the proposed activity signed by the adviser is to be submitted at least one week before the date of the activity. XIV. Approval of Programs for Which Admission is Charged. Recognized student organizations are permitted to arrange entertainment and lecture programs for which general admission is charged providing the following conditions are met: A. All plans are approved by the Office of Student Affairs before any financial commitments or contracts are made and not less than one week prior to the proposed event. Request forms are available in the office. Requests for approval must be submitted in writing before arrangements are made. The request is to the signed by the president and faculty adviser of the organization sponsoring the event. B. All financial arrangements must be cleared through the Auditor of Student Organizations Fund in the Business Office. C. The student organization sponsoring the program must have a balance in its treasury which will cover the cost of the program, including building rental, advertising, and any other expenses, before any contracts or expenditures are made. If an individual, private group, or institution agrees to underwrite the expenses of the program, funds necessary must be deposited in the student organization's treasury with the agreement that any profit will accrue to the student organization account. The underwriter cannot be repaid until all bills and expenses incurred in the program are paid. It must be agreed that the program will not involve any advertising or publicizing of a commercial product or name. D. In scheduling a program, the student organization must observe the no-conflict rule, including no conflict with programs of the University Lecture and Concert Series. XV. Approval of Speakers and Special Meetings. Any student organization planning to hold a meeting at whcih a lecturer or discussion leader from off-campus or a master of ceremonies or entertainers (student or non-student) will be invited to appear must have such plans approved by the Office of Student Affairs before making arrangements with the individuals concerned.
